How to write a farewell speech for boss

A very good evening Ladies and Gentlemen……There are certain realities in life, the last day of summer… the final chapter of an excellent book…parting ways with a close friend and Saying good bye to a great boss.

Today we all have gathered here not only to bid Farwell to Mr. or Ms. ________ after successful completion of _______ years with ________ company but to also recognize to his/her tremendous contributions towards success of the business.

Small introduction of the boss, e.g. she/he started career with the company 25years ago and built the foundation stronger through giving it sweat and blood.  She/he is a great aspiration for everyone in the organization, specially to the new joiners and young colleagues. Boss, has proven his/her self as asset for this company by taking over the most challenging positions and he/she is the one can always have the feelings of his tremendous growth, passion and progression.

I remember the year when we were celebrating the highest ever profit records and changing our company perception all around proudly. He/She has given the vision to us to transform the way we thought. Boss is the great leader with outstanding vision, he/she gives dreams to the team…. Dream of success… dream of transforming life…

Personally I had the opportunity of regular interactions with him during my last role. His first words I will never forget were crisp and to the point…. As a person, he is an excellent companion to travel with. He never makes you feel like you are travelling with big boss.

Apart from profits, he/she is leaving behind his/her legacy behind, that will be followed for years.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new big Boss_______. It’s a moment of pride for all of us to have you as boss and I am sure we will go further notch under your great leadership.
